PURCHASING & PROCUREMENT

 As the Category Buyer, you will:

• Became Supplier Lead/Relationship Manager for suppliers with multiple source buyers .  This Supplier Lead role will help to manage the supplier relationship for that supplier’s location including but not limited to Supplier Relationship Management, Supplier Performance Management, Cost Management, Risk Management and Category Network Management .
• Responsible and accountable for the development, and/or communication and implementation of a regional and worldwide sourcing strategy . 
• Responsible for the development, management and execution of the global category strategy managing policies, agreements, source catalogs, and special procurement programs ; and accountable for the liaison with the corresponding source buyers.
• Responsible and accountable for the analysis and maintenance of procurement and logistics data including but not limited to purchase orders, quotations, invoices, source catalogs, material rejection reports, tooling records, supplier data/measurement, inventory mgmt. engineered value chains. 
• Implementation of local or regional sourcing strategy, under the direction of their manager and experienced Buyers & professionals.
• Provide leadership for strategic sourcing – qualified supply network, business continuity, supplier risk management – capacity & financial, logistics, contract management, supplier commercial negotiations, cost/spend management, supplier on boarding/off boarding, lead/response time optimization and resource management decisions. 
• Demonstrate advanced project management skills required to collect, compile, assimilate, communicate, and maintain information as required. You will assess and recommend solutions related to Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, and Management (QCLDM) and maintain the highest ethical and professional standards within this diverse global organization.
• Perform analytical and administrative tasks in support of Global Supply Network strategic initiatives.
• Participate in and provide analysis related to CPPD (Collaborative Product and Process Development) or NPI (New Product Introduction) projects to Product and Procurement teams.
• Actively participate on 6 Sigma Strategic Sourcing teams to develop an understanding of the current performance of the supply network, evaluate strategic options, decide a course of action, and begin implementation.  You will also develop knowledge of the product, Facility, NPI, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Category Strategies.
• Collaborate with Supplier Development Engineers, to ensure continuous improvement in QCLDM with key suppliers. Build and foster mutually beneficial supplier relationships at all organizational level

The successful candidate must bring:

• Fluent in English and effective communicator, in written and oral form.
• Minimum of bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering or Manufacturing.
• Minimum of 5 years of job-related experience.
• A production or manufacturing industries background plus familiarity with welding and manufacturing processes used to produce components and assemblies for heavy equipment products.
• Good presentation skills.
• Analytical, problem solving and project leadership skill.

• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles as applied by Caterpillar and our suppliers.

• Knowledge of the tools and techniques of 6 Sigma methodology or prior completion of Green Belt training and/or other 6 Sigma experience

As the EHS Supervisor, you will:

• Support the EHS Manager and team with planning, coordinating and implementing of effective EHS policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure that the department objectives are met.
• Provide support to Project and Operation team in all aspects of safety, occupational health, safety and environmental issues.
• Support the EHS Manager in ensuring EHS compliance.
• Provide support to the dept on the implementation of EHS Assurance Manual, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Function as primary emergency coordinator for facility and assist Environmental Health & Safety Department with required governmental agency notifications as appropriate
• Managing hourly EHS Staff/EHS Specialist and day to day daily EHS issue.
• Perform regular EHS audits in the Caterpillar Indonesia Batam Facility.
• Attend pre-job, planning and meetings as required.
• Organize and Performs routine inspections and verify compliance on EHS related matters.
• Supervise the teams and liaise with operation on the implementation of EHS Management System
• Ensure training, tool box meetings, and drills are implemented as part of the company’s training and EHS program, i.e. emergency response systems, etc.
• Assist the incident owner on the incident Investigation and complete the process for close out of all Accident Investigation Reports and prepare/submit lessons learned to the EHS Manager for promulgation to the management.
• Track and provide regular EHS performance reporting to the EHS Manager.
• Assist in the development of specific EHS procedures.
• Ensure all worksites are EHS compliant with Company policies and safety standards.
• Support and take lead of EHS Specialist in the development of work site EHS campaigns and good practices.
• Assist in ad-hoc EHS tasks/projects as required.
• The successful candidate must bring:
• Proficient in English.
• College or university degree in an engineering or-related discipline and equivalent.
• At least 5 (five) years of work-related experience.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Thorough knowledge of various engineering, manufacturing and / or maintenance standards and practices and manufacturing systems.
• Thorough knowledge of various safety best practices a safety technical standard.
• Top candidates will also bring:
• Have AK3 series (Government Safety Certifications).
• Certified IOSH Managing safely and NEBOSH IGC will be preferable.
• Good written and oral communication and presentation skills.
• Good human relations, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
